Crown and Bridges

Crown and bridge work is a common and effective dental procedure used to restore damaged or missing teeth. These restorations not only improve the appearance of the smile but also enhance dental functionality, allowing patients to chew, speak, and smile with confidence. Let's delve into the details of crown and bridge work, exploring the process, benefits, and care involved. Dental Crowns (Caps): Crowns are custom-made covers that encase the entire tooth surface, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance. They are often recommended for teeth that are severely decayed, damaged, or discolored. Crowns can be made from various materials, including porcelain, ceramic, metal, or a combination of these materials. Dental Bridges: Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. They consist of one or more artificial teeth, called pontics, which are anchored to the adjacent natural teeth or dental implants. The natural teeth or implants on either side of the gap are known as abutments and serve as the support for the bridge. Like crowns, bridges can be made from different materials to match the natural teeth.
